Roketto Style Guide: Jetpack Mechanics, Stats and Whether to Spin Before August 22

Roketto is the newest style in Volleyball Legends — shipped with UPDATE_82 on August 8, 2026 and only obtainable until August 22. Two free codes currently pay out spins toward it (UPDATE_82 and ROKETTO, 5 Lucky Spins each), which raises the actual question: is it worth spending them on?

The Jetpack Mechanic

Roketto’s Secret Special activates from freefall: drop into the air, ignite the Jetpack, then tilt to steer mid-flight. It’s a genuinely new movement axis — no other style flies — and it comes with a jetpack back-cosmetic so the whole lobby sees it.

The catch is what flight does to volleyball fundamentals. Jetpack spikes ignore normal gravity arcs, which sounds strong until you’re aiming: no gravity means no late drop, and receivers read flat trajectories more easily than plummeting ones. That’s the core of the community’s early skepticism.

Stats (wiki estimates, unconfirmed by devs)

Spike 100% · Jump 100% · Block 80% · Serve 70% · Set 40% · Dive 40% · Speed 30% · Bump 25% — plus a Jetpack stat listed above 100%. On paper that’s a spike/block monster with real serve pressure; the weak bump means your back-row rotations will hurt.

The Honest Verdict

Early community sentiment is rough — typical criticism runs “no gravity in spikes, limited power, predictable rocket movement.” Our tier list currently seats Roketto in B: the Jetpack is a blast and the Block 80% is real, but as a ranked carry it trails the established Secret spikers. Two things could change that: players learning steeper Jetpack attack angles, or a balance patch (this developer patches fast — see Hidari’s history).

The Mastery Grind

Roketto is the first Secret to launch with a Mastery track. Tier 1 starts gently (25 scores, 50 Jetpack ball-touches, 240 seconds of flight); Mastery 5 is a wall — 1,000 Jetpack scores, 250 Ranked wins, 10,800 seconds (three full hours) of accumulated flight time and MVP 200 times in Ranked. If you pull Roketto, start the flight-time challenges immediately; they accumulate passively while you play.

Spin or Skip?

• Spin if you want the movement toy, collect limiteds (it’s gone August 22, return date unknown), or main blocker where its 80% shines.
• Skip if you’re chasing ranked wins per spin — the setter trio and returning spikers like Hidari convert spins to wins more reliably.
